Oversharing
Back in April, my wife and I got new smartphones. Prior to this, we had stupidly simple slide phones that could do nothing but make and receive calls. I've talked about my phone woes before. But this is a different story.

This story is about sharing in the digital age. See, with smartphones there are many wonderful things now at your fingertips. Namely, sending and receiving images. So my wife and I are now diving into the world of image swapping. She'll send me something at work to create wonderfully awkward situations, and I'll send her equally stimulating images right in the middle of a MOMS Club event while she surrounded by parents and loudly playful children.
We chuckled the other day because I sent her a photo while she was out getting a massage with a friend. She was already on the table, so when she heard her phone beep, she asked her friend to check it. Fortunately, the phone only flashed my name and the words "multimedia message". She said she would've been mortified if her friend had seen the photo. 
I would post the photo I sent her, but this is a family blog. 
Anyone else swap photos with their S.O.?
And has anything like my close call ever happened to you?

I did. Once. And he, while he liked the photo very much, suspected that I had taken it for someone else. Because it was out of character for me to have done. That's what I get for trying to add some spice. :-/

Dear Riis,People are sending naked pictures of me all over Facebook! Seriously, Aside from one I got for a single purpose back in 2000, I've never had a cellphone. I notice these "oversharing" scenarios are showing up as plot points in movies and TV shows. I recently read in the Times about a startup offering an app which instantly destroys images after a couple of seconds.
