    Provocative Words

    Words are so powerful.

Just a few choice words can easily affect your heart rate, your appetite, your behavior, your attitude, even your ability to sleep. They are not bound by time, distance or location. And yet, knowing that words are tools potent enough to start and end wars, I marvel at how carelessly we sometimes wield them.

Perhaps the draw is based on a desire to observe how others react to the words you’ve chosen. Some people are motivated by a need to feel important, to have some form of control over their lives. Some are simply master manipulators and words are their weapon of choice.

Whether for good or evil, it’s important to check your intentions, and to be mindful of the affect your words may have, BEFORE you unleash them on an unsuspecting world.

  • I wonder what brought this on. You are never random, despite your proclaimed RDT.

  • @PrincessPowers - Hahaha… how do you know me so well? Have we met before? The origin of this is a texting conversation I had with my wife. I’d upload the screenshots, but that would need to be a protected post all by itself.

  • And some folks just like to stir the pot, ya’ know?

  • Words are indeed, very important. We use them for vows, oaths, promises, and people often forget those important words. We are so flippant with it sometimes.

  • Will George Zimmerman be convicted of lying? Today they did use a dummy to pose as George Zimmerman and the prosecution played Traybon.Words and inferences is how some word smiths use as tools. I suppose everyone doesn’t know a nigerian prince so that is why that ruse hardly works.

  • the ones who use words for their shock value are the ones that irritate me the most….I’ve been trying to think of something really deep to say… I’m still thinking =)

  • I wish I was better at guarding my words!

  • @Pepin909 - I think we all could be better. If we try, we can get there.
