| | I was talking to someone the other day who was lamenting the fact that they just wanted to be normal. I said, "Normal? What is "Normal" exactly?" That's when we looked up the dictionary definition of the word: nor-mal: conforming to a standard; usual, typical or expected Sounds rather... plain. I mean, here are my stats... I'm 6'1" tall. I weigh just under 200lbs. I'm reasonably muscular with an athletic build. I work out regularly and I'm mindful of what I eat. Yet, according to those in the medical field, based solely on my weight, height and waist size (34 btw) I am at moderate risk for serious health problems. Or so they say... This is why I don't believe in NORMAL. NORMAL is a skewed reality. Off. Erroneous generalizing. If I were to attempt to get down to "normal" weight, I would look altogether anorexic. This is why you should never strive to be normal. Instead, just focus on being the best you ever. Let's call it... EPIC YOU.
