I do miss the ability to type out a quick little something, if only to say good morning to the greater Xanga community each day. But with no real Front Page available yet, people have to make a conscious effort to read anything I write (and a big thank you to those who DO stop by).
Anyway, I hope there's some equivalent of Pulse being considered. Otherwise, I'll just have to use my QuickPress and do something like this each day.

It's the box in the upper right corner of your Dashboard where you can post an entry without leaving the Dashboard screen. I'll post an image to this original entry.
What's funny is, I don't really use the main dashboard screen. I stay on comments or followers or reading.
You know, I didn't even think about staying on the Comments page. I kept trying to figure out how to stay current on any comments that people left. Because the replies don't show up on the Dashboard. All I needed to do apparently, was ask you.

Anything you post shows up in the "Reading" page...which is where I go back to most. I don't like the fact that others leave comments replying to my comments and I don't see them unless I go back to where I left them.... maybe something the xangateam will add when the dust settles some..
Yeah, I'm hoping that'll be one of the features they tackle first. It's a small inconvenience, but an unnecessary one.
The interface is working ok for me so far. Still learning, but I think it's alright.
I like what I see so far.
I'm just looking forward to a more fully functional site. Which I'm sure is coming shortly.

Xanga 2.0 is taking a bit for me to get used to.
I totally agree! I just wrote a post about the same thing too. I think that's what I miss the most!
