Explain to me how vegan and alfredo chicken go together. You said soy protein, I assume the chicken isn't chicken. But alfredo sauce is cheese... Mine is made with butter, milk, parmesan, cream cheese, and garlic oil. NOT vegan. At all. So how is a cheese and chicken dish at all vegan and why try??
I have admittedly not used meat substitutes for quite some time, and I'm sure they have come a long way. That said, I remember the first time I saw a vegetarian patty which was being given out for people to sample at the grocery store. They had a sign that said, "Tastes Just Like Hamburger". I tried it and told them it did taste good, but it did not taste like hamburger.
Ha! I like their sign!!! I once had some BBQ tofu and I swear it tasted just like BBQ chicken! I'd love to know how they made the food you ate. ??? I enjoy my veggies a LOT and even grow my own every summer. HUGS!!!
Cute sign. I have had tofu and not hated it, but I am reluctant to try veggie burgers or imitation chicken. I feel like, vegetarian eating should focus on eating, like, veggies and less on imitating the taste of meat. If that makes sense. But I'm not vegetarian so what do I know?
